Ora John Hausz, 101, of Watseka, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was born on January 24, 1915 in Wellington, Illinois, the son of Fredrich and Belle (Crail) Hausz. Ora married Geneva Firchau, who has passed on August 16, 1981. Mr. Hausz was an Elevator manager in Bloomington and Flanagan. He was a member of the Watseka Masonic Lodge #446 and a 70 year member of the American Legion. Ora enjoyed fishing, hunting, and biking. Surviving Mr. Hausz is one sister, Elizabeth Phelps of Wellington, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Kay Martin, John Martin of Watseka; Jan Martin of Buellton, California, and Susan Trillet of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Margaret, Terry, Kena and London Clark; Donna Dearth; Dana Harper; Alice Huffman; Mindi Walton; Vince O’Brien of Greenbrae CA; grand-nieces Aimee O’Brien of Sacramento, CA , Erin O’Brien of Los Angeles and Kate O’Brien of Greenbrae, CA; and special caregiver, Nick Menigoz. He is also preceded in death by, both parents; wife, Geneva; one son, Kevin; three brothers, Michael Hausz of Wellington, Robert Hausz of Joliet, and one infant brother; and one sister, Viola Hari of Cissna Park. She was born on January 6, 1934 in Clarksville, TN, the daughter of Louis Jackson and Barbara (Johnson) Jackson. Margaret worked as a Dietician for IMH in Watseka for over 30 years. She also volunteered for meals on wheels. She enjoyed walking, baking, word search puzzles, reading, and the White Sox. Surviving Mrs. Atkins is one son, Mike Atkins and Mike’s father Bob Atkins of Watseka; one brother, Jesse Jackson of Clarksville, TN; and seven nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by both her parents; one sister, Virginia Walker; one brother, L.T. Jackson; sister-in-law, Barbara Jackson; brother-in-law, Cecil Walker; and one nephew, Richard Walker. Charles Richard Eighner Jr., 93, of Kankakee, formerly Watseka, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. He was born on December 12, 1922 in Sheldon, the son of Charles Eighner Sr. and Mabel (Keene) Eighner. Charles married Betty Stilwell on October 6, 1947 in Watseka, IL. Mr. Eighner was an Asphalt Foreman for TriangleConstruction in Kankakee for 40 years. Charles served in the ARMY for 4 years in the 3rd ARMY traveling to North Africa, France, Italy, and Sicily. He was also a member of the VFW Post #7450. He enjoyed watching Westerns, gardening, and oil painting. Surviving Mr. Eighner is his wife, Betty Eighner of Kankakee, formerly Watseka; one son and daughter-in-law, James Allen and Marsha Eighner of Frankfort, IL; one daughter and son-in-law, Jean Irene and David Marone of West Wellington, CT; three grandchildren, Chad Allen (Stacy) Eighner, James Brett (Sheryl) Eighner, and Edward Adam Blomquist; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Eighner, Tyler Eighner, Paige Eighner, and Holly Eighner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by both parents; five brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm (Noon), at Baier Funeral Home. Dale Janssen, 74, of Crescent City, IL, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016. He was born on May 2, 1942 in Watseka, IL, the son of Walter Janssen and Vera (Langenbahn) Janssen. Dale married Cheryl Klann on April 14, 1962. She passed away on May 1, 1998. He later married Beth Stanley on April 10, 1999. She has since passed. Mr. Janssen worked for CIPS – Ameren. He served in the Air Force from 1961 until 1967. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting arrow heads, baseball and other sports. He also enjoyed End of the Trail timber project and volunteered for the Christ Lutheran High School. Surviving Mr. Janssen are two sons and daughter-in-law’s, David and Lisa Janssen of Newark, IL, and Troy and Jenifer Janssen of Buckley; grandchildren, Jacqui and Chad Berenyi, Kyle Janssen, Olivia Janssen, Trenton Janssen, and Connor Janssen; great-grandchildren, Rilynd and Landen Berenyi. He is also preceded in death by both parents; wife, Cheryl Janssen; wife, Beth Janssen; and brother, Don Janssen. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 4-8pm, at Baier Funeral Home. Perry married Mabel Hoover in Kentland, IN on June 8, 1957. Mr. Bitzel worked for the Laborer Union for 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, mowing, doing yard work, playing cards, and watching politics. Surviving Mr. Bitzel is one sister-in-law, Doris Bitzel of Sheldon, IL; one grandson, Shawn Bitzel of Crescent City; several nieces and nephews including: Tony Bitzel and Tanya Kazy of Cleveland, TN, Susan Wynn Bence of Watseka, and Kenneth Bitzel of Diamond, IL. Helen married Harry Adams on August 11, 1992 in Watseka. Mrs. Adams was a legal secretary for Mylo Fleming then Razzono and Kinzer. She was also a Hospice Volunteer for the office and enjoyed bowling, quilting, and sewing. Surviving Mrs. Adams is her husband, Harry Adams of Watseka; two sons and daughter-in-law’s, Lonnie (Jody) Ulitzsch of Watseka and Alan (Lisa) Ulitzsch of Watseka; one daughter and son-in-law, Marlita (Eric) Hassbargen of Woodland; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard Williams of Clinton, IL and Veda Williams of Texas; one brother-in-law, Gene Schwitek of Decatur, IL; two step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, Greg (Letta) Adams of Muncie, IN and George (Wanda) Adams of Lehigh Acres, Florida; two step-daughter and step-son-in-law: Lyn Dean of Louisville, KY and Jeanne (Pat) Snyder of Watseka; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Loeva married Paul Joseph Ennis in Ireland in 2006. Mrs. Ennis was a K-12 Art Teacher for over 25 years. She was also an Adjunct Professor of Art at Junior College. She enjoyed painting, sculpting, and traveling. Surviving Mrs. Ennis is her husband, Joe Ennis of Winamac, IN; mother, Millie Bell of Watseka; two sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Owens of Wichita, Kansas, and John and Anita Owens of Watseka; and five grandchildren. Elizabeth married Dennis (Joe) Goldsberry on March 22, 1991 in Watseka. Mrs. Goldsberry was a Home Maker. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Surviving Mrs. Goldsberry is her husband, Dennis Goldsberry of Watseka; three sons and daughter-in-law, Earl Norris Jr. of Watseka, Paul Norris of Trenton, N.J., and Dale and Bonda Norris of Watseka; three daughters and son-in-law’s, Bobbi Jo and Brian Basham of Union Hill, IL, Jennifer and Eric Stevens of Hoopeston, and Kathy and Bruce Hartman of Ashkum; two step-brothers, Ernie and Becky Norris of Morocco, IN and Eddie Norris of Indiana; two step-sisters,Elaine and Bill Daughtery of Watseka, and Liz Walker of Watseka; eighteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by both her parents; one brother; two sisters; one daughter; and one granddaughter.
